A federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration plan to end the DACA program. The Judge said DACA must remain in place while litigation over Trump’s decision to end the program plays out. As a result, DACA recipients who failed to renew their status by last year’s deadline will have a chance to submit renewal applications.  The decision does not, however, allow new applications to be submitted.

We are very grateful for the judge’s decision that will help the more than 700,000 DACA recipients, and we are still hopeful congress will do its job and pass legislation granting permanent residence to all DACA recipients.
