Yanina Rufat is an Associate Immigration Attorney at Latorre Law Firm. She currently handles U Visas cases on behalf of victims of qualifying crimes.
Mrs. Rufat earned her Juris Doctorate degree with honors from the Interamerican University School of Law and was admitted to the Puerto Rico State & Public Notary Bar in 2007. In 2008, Mrs. Rufat passed the Federal Bar and was admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. In addition to her law degree, Mrs. Rufat pursued a bachelor’s degree in Labor Relations from the University of Puerto Rico and a master’s degree in Education from Texas State University.
For a decade, Mrs. Rufat worked as a Trial Attorney in the Federal Litigation Division of the Puerto Rico Department of Justice, where she practiced civil rights & bankruptcy. In 2018, Mrs. Rufat relocated to the continental U.S. where her immigration journey started. She has practiced immigration law in Washington D.C. & Miami, FL, appearing with individuals before the EOIR Immigration Court & USCIS. Mrs. Rufat is passionate about representing immigration rights and is committed to helping individuals navigate their path toward their immigration goals.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children and going to the beach.
