Valery Sarduy is an Associate Attorney with the Latorre Law Firm practicing in the area of immigration law. Ms. Sarduy assists clients in the preparation and filing of various petitions with the government, such as family-based petitions, consular processing, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status and Adjustment of Status.
Ms. Sarduy graduated from the Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, North Carolina. In law school, she was accepted to the Elon Law’s Advocacy Fellows program and participated in the Elon Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic helping asylees and refugees with their immigration processes. Ms. Sarduy attended her undergraduate at Wingate University where she majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. She was a recipient of various scholarships from recognized organizations including La Noticia and Latin American Women’s Association.
Prior to joining Latorre Law, Ms. Sarduy worked in the non-profit sector assisting clients with Domestic Violence Protective Orders and immigration applications such as VAWA, SIJS and DACA renewals. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Ms. Sarduy was born in Buga, Colombia and speaks English and Spanish fluently. As an immigrant herself, Ms. Sarduy understands the difficulties faced by immigrants today and has a passion for representing clients and practicing immigration law. During her free time, Ms. Sarduy enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with her husband.
