Tyler K. Cottrill is an Associate Attorney with Latorre Law Firm focusing in criminal defense, as well as other areas of law that require in-court litigation. Mr. Cottrill received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from West Virginia University before he received his Juris Doctorate from West Virginia University College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Cottrill was a member of the Lugar Trial Association, received the top honor for his Trial Advocacy class, and gained valuable experience practicing law as a Student Attorney in the General Litigation Clinic.
Mr. Cottrill was first licensed to practice law in his home state of West Virginia in early 2019. His focus has been on criminal defense with both adult and juvenile offenders, as well as abuse/neglect and personal injury. He has successfully handled countless criminal cases, including major felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic infractions.
In late 2020, Mr. Cottrill relocated from Morgantown, WV to Charlotte, NC. He is proud to call the Queen City home. Mr. Cottrill resides in Charlotte with his fiancé, Taylor, and their young daughter, Tatum. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is also an avid outdoorsman and sports fan. Mr. Cottrill is currently licensed in North Carolina, West Virginia, and Minnesota. He is member of the Mecklenburg County Bar Association.
